3 King George and in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Twenty six two James Adderton Seal Sealed and Delivered in the W Raincock Seal psence of us the name Raincock first Interlined/Test Edw.d Smith Eben Gale Endorsed May the 25.th 1729 Then Came before us his Lordship's Justices of S.t Mary's County, M.r Edward Smith and Made Oath on the holy Evangelists; that he Saw the within mentioned James Adderton and William Raincock Sign and Seal the within Mentioned Thomas Griffin Recorded April 2.d 1724 John Leigh x.d This Indenture made the seventh day of Nov.r Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred & twenty three Between Francis Holland Gent of the one part and and John Crockett Merch.t of the other part Wittnesseth that Whereas the s.d John at the Speciall Instance & request of the s.d Francis became bound w.th the s.d Francis in the pennalty of two hundred thousand pounds of Tobacco upon Condition of the said Francis should duely Execute the sherriff office of Baltimore County according to Law and that said John is desireous of being Countersecured and Whereas the s.d Francis has the Reversion in a pcell of Land lying Mostly in ann arund.ll County called Broughtons ashly, Now these psents Wittnesseth that the s.d Francis in consideration of the pmises & the sume of five shillings sterl to him in hand paid y.e receipt wherof the said Francis Doth hereby acknowledge Hath Bargaind and sold and by these psents doth bargain & sell unto the s.d John Crockett the s.d Tract of Land w.th the appurtences thereunto belonging after the decease of William Holland Esqr the prsent possessor and Tenant by Courtesey of the same To |
