Receed of William Ponteny Five shillings current money being y.e consideration money w.thin mentioned Wittness my hand y.e day & year af.d his Stephen S Gill mark January y.e 13 1725 Then came before me William Lock Esq.r one of his Lordships provinciall justices y.e w.thin mentioned Stephen Gill & acknowledges y.e w.thin Deed according to Act of Assembly in that case made & provided William Lock Recorded April 10.th 1726 Ex.d This Indenture Tripartite made this Sixteenth Day of Aprill Anno Dom Seventeen hundred and twenty six Between Robert Gouldsborough Senior of Talbot County Gent of the first part Robert Goldsborough of the same place Junior of the second part and Charles Hammond of Ann Arundell County of the third part Whereas the said Robert Goldsborough Senior Intermarried with Elizabeth the Daughter of Colonell Nicholas Greenberry and sister to Colonel Charles Greenberry both deceased by which said Elizabeth the said Robert the Elder had Issue Robert the Younger the party to these presents And Whereas by the Death of the said Elizabeth the said Robert the Elder becomes Tenant by the Curtesy of England of all the Lands and Estate of Inheritance whereof the said Elizabeth dyed seised The Fee Simple whereof descends to the said Robert the Younger the Eldest Son and heir at Law of the said Elizabeth Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Robert the Elder and Robert the Younger for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds sterling to them in hand paid or secured to be paid the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have and each of them hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and do and each of them doth by these presents for themselves and their heirs give grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe and confirm unto him the said Charles Hammond his heirs and assigns for ever all those several tracts or parcells of Land hereafter mentioned viz.t Town Neck Altogether and Middleborough lying in Ann Arundell County and commonly called Greenberrys Point and also all surplusages thereunto belonging and vacances thereunto added by the said Robert the Elder and the said Elizabeth or by either of them be the quantity thereof (how |
