(House Bill 1016)

AN ACT to repeal Section 316 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Somerset County (1963 Edition, being Article 20 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Somerset County," subtitle
"Sheriff," subheading "Expense Accounts," last amended by Chap-
ter 213 of the Acts of 1943; repealing expense accounts for the
Sheriff and his office in Somerset County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 316 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset
County (1963 Edition, being Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Somerset County," subtitle "Sheriff," sub-
heading "Expense Accounts," last amended by Chapter 213 of the
Acts of 1943 be and it is hereby repealed.

[316. Expense Accounts.

In computing the said monthly account for expenses, the Sheriff
of Somerset County shall be allowed mileage at the rate of seven
cents ($0.07) per mile for the use of his automobile or the automo-
bile of his Chief Deputy or any of his deputies in the discharge of
their official duties and he shall be allowed his actual carfare or
mileage as aforesaid in the transportation of all prisoners to and
from penal institutions and places of confinement in the State of
Maryland, under sentence or order of any legal authority.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 321
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset County (1963 Edi-
tion, being Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Somerset County," subtitle "Sheriff," subheading
"Statement of Jail Expenses," last amended by Chapter 409 of
the Acts of 1941; to establish daily limit on funds used to feed
inmates in the county jail at Princess Anne, Somerset County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 321 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset
County (1963 Edition, being Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Somerset County," subtitle "Sheriff," sub-
heading "Statement of Jail Expenses," last amended by Chapter 409
of the Acts of 1941 be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
