(House Bill 387)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 158A of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement
Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Fortune Tell-
ing," prohibiting in Talbot County certain forecasting or fore-
telling or pretending to forecast or foretell the future by any
person who demands or accepts any remuneration or gratuity and
providing the penalties for any such offense.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 158A of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
(1967 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-
title "Fortune Telling," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
158A.
In Caroline County and in Talbot County every person who shall
demand or accept any remuneration or gratuity for forecasting or
foretelling or for pretending to forecast or foretell the future of
another by cards, palm reading or any other scheme, practice or
device, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon convic-
tion thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100.00
or be imprisoned in the county jail for a term of not more than six
months, or both, in the discretion of the court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

of Article 11 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Banks and Trust Companies," subtitle "Gen-
eral Regulations," prohibiting dual directorships in banking in-
stitutions with certain exceptions.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
