CHAPTER 310
(Senate Bill 723)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-108
(b) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Re-
placement Volume), title "Decedents' Estate," subtitle "The
Court," subheading "The Probate Court," to delete the per diem
and expenses allowed the judges of the Orphans' Court of Anne
Arundel County and to provide a salary for the judges with
additional compensation for the Chief Judge of the Orphans
Court of Anne Arundel County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-108 (b) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Decedents' Estate,"
subtitle "The Court," subheading "The Probate Court," be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

2-108.

(b) [[Each of the judges of the court for Anne Arundel County
shall receive the sum of ten dollars ($10) for every day's attendance
upon the sessions of the court. Each judge shall also receive an
expense allowance, in addition, of up to one hundred dollars ($100)
per month for personal expenses incidental to his duties, to be paid
by the controller of Anne Arundel County each month upon presen-
tation of itemized vouchers in accordance with regulations pre-
scribed by said controller.] The salary of the judges of the court
for Anne Arundel County shall be two thousand five hundred
dollars ($2,500.00) per annum, and the Chief Judge shall receive
an additional five hundred dollars ($500.00) per annum.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this
Act shall not be construed to extend or apply to the judges or Chief
Judge of the Orphans' Court of Anne Arundel County in office on
the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act shall
take effect with the next term of office.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 311
(Senate Bill 749)

AN ACT to add new Section 602AB to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1969 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments," subtitle "Venue, Procedure and Sentence," subheading
"Fresh Pursuit-Intrastate," to follow immediately after Section
602A thereof, to permit police of incorporated municipalities in
Allegany County, when in fresh pursuit, to follow into the county
to make arrests.
