Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 602AB be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Supplement), title "Crimes and
Punishments," subtitle "Venue, Procedure and Sentence," subhead-
ing "Fresh Pursuit-Intrastate," to follow immediately after Section
602A thereof, and to read as follows:

602AB.

Any police officer of any incorporated municipality in Allegany
County, when in fresh pursuit, may follow into Allegany County
and arrest any person for a violation of State law or a violation of
the laws or ordinances of the incorporated municipality.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 312
(Senate Bill 765)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 477A of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition,
being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Harford County," subtitle "Schools," as added by Chapter
493 of the Acts of 1969; designating the Harford County Educa-
tional Foundation as an instrumentality of the county, and clari-
fying the law pertaining to the Foundation's corporate powers and
status in relation to bank licensing acts.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 477A of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "Schools," as
added by Chapter 493 of the Acts of 1969, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

477A.

(a)  The Harford County Educational Foundation, hereinafter
called the Foundation, is hereby created and established a body cor-
porate and politic, and an instrumentality of the county. The Foun-
dation shall consist of nine directors appointed by the method and
for terms as hereinafter provided. The directors shall serve without
compensation.

(b)  The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, the
President of Harford Junior College and the Chairman of the
Board of Education shall each be a member of the Foundation
ex officio. The six remaining initial directors shall be appointed for
three years, two for two years and two for one year. Directors shall
be chosen from among the residents of the County. As the terms of
the initial appointees expire or as vacancies occur, their successors
