system, lights, glass, windshield wipers, odometer, speedometer,
bumpers and proper wheel alignment, wheels, wheel lugs, fenders,
floor pans, hood and hood catches, and gas tank meeting the stand-
ards therefor as JOINTLY fixed and determined by the Department
and State Police DIVISION. The Department and State Police THE
DIVISION are authorized to JOINTLY promulgate such standards
by means of rules and regulations.

(b) The [Department] State Police DIVISION shall prescribe
and supply forms of warnings of defective equipment and mech-
anisms.

The [Department] State Police DIVISION shall provide and
supply without charge to registered dealers and approved facilities
forms of certificates serially numbered and containing such infor-
mation as the Department and State Police THE DIVISION may
prescribe.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 3 (e) of
Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement
Volume), title "County Commissioners," subtitle "General Pro-
visions," amending the laws concerning the salary or compensa-
tion of certain county officers and employees in order to remove
obsolete and inapplicable provisions concerning Wicomico and
Kent counties; and correcting an error therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 3 (e) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1966 Replacement Volume), title "County Commissioners," subtitle
"General Provisions," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

(e) To fix and prescribe the salary [of] or compensation of all
appointed officers and employees of the county incurred in the per-
formance of their official duties. [The provisions of this subsection
shall not be applicable in Wicomico and Kent counties.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
