Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 504 and 505 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Washington County (1957 Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Washington County," subtitle
"Pawnbrokers," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

504.

No pawnbroker in said county shall make any other charge for
making a loan or advance, for packing or any other expense, [then]
than the charge allowed by Section 501.

505.

Any licensed pawnbroker, who shall in any way or by any sub-
terfuge or device violate any of the provisions of this subtitle, shall
upon trial and conviction be punished by a fine of One Hundred
Dollars for the first offense and a like fine and also imprisonment in
jail for thirty days for each subsequent offense, and any goods,
chattels or personal property, upon which he has made a loan shall be
returned to the owner or owners thereof.

[One-half of all fines imposed under the provisions of this subtitle
shall be paid to the informer or person causing the arrest and con-
viction of the offender.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 684 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington County (1957 Edi-
tion, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Washington County," subtitle "State's Attorney,"
amending the laws concerning the Bureau of Identification and
Criminal Investigation in Washington County in order to remove
certain obsolete provisions therefrom.

That Section 684 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
County (1957 Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Washington County," subtitle "State's
Attorney," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
