632                                 Laws of Maryland                          Ch. 262

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 207 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Replacement Volume), title and subtitle "Crimes and Punish-
ments," subheading "Fraud—By Hirers," be and it is hereby re-
pealed, as follows:

[207.

Any person who shall hire, lease or rent a motor vehicle under an
agreement to pay for the use of such motor vehicle a sum of money
based wholly or in part upon the distance such motor vehicle travels
while being so used, and who shall fail or refuse to pay, or attempt
to avoid payment of the sum found to be due the owner, or his agent,
or the person in lawful possession thereof, or his agent, shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall, upon conviction, be
subject to a fine of not more than one hundred ($100) dollars, or
imprisonment for not more than thirty days, or to both fine and
imprisonment.]

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 262
(Senate Bill 113)

AN ACT to add new Sections 755 to 768 to Article 43 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1969
Supplement) title "Health," to follow immediately after Section
754 thereof and to be under a new subtitle "Nursing Home Ad-
ministrators," to require the licensing and registration of Nursing
Home Administrators and for related purposes.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 755 to 768 be and they are hereby added to
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement
Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Health," to follow immediately
after Section 754 thereof, to be under the new subtitle "Nursing
Home Administrators," and to read as follows:

Nursing Home Administrators
755. Definitions.

As used in this subtitle, unless a contrary meaning is clearly in-
tended from the context in which the term appears, the following
terms have the respective meanings hereinafter set forth or
indicated:

(1) "Board" means the Board of Examiners of Nursing Home
Administrators of the State of Maryland, created by Section 757 of
this subtitle.
