clubs [within the towns of North Beach and Chesapeake Beach]
and the annual license fee for such license shall be one thousand
dollars ($1,000.00). Such licenses may be issued anywhere in Cal-
vert County for premises which are bona fide post homes of (posts
of the American Legion or Veterans of Foreign Wars and the an-
nual license fee for such license to these organizations shall be five
hundred dollars ($500.00). The licenses in any post homes of posts
of the American Legion and/or Veterans of Foreign Wars shall al-
low only for the sale of such liquor by the drink and on the premises.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby de-
clared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety and having been
passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 22 of
Article 66B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Supple-
ment) , title "Zoning and Planning," subtitle "Planning," subhead-
ing "Title 2—Zoning," to raise the expense allowance for the
board of appeals in Kent County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 22 of Article 66B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1969 Supplement), title "Zoning and Planning," subtitle "Plan-
ning," subheading "Title 2—Zoning," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
22.
(b-2) [Each member of the Kent County board of appeals shall
receive one hundred dollars ($100.00) annually for expenses.]
The chairman of the Kent County Board of appeals shall receive
one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) annually for expenses, and each
member of the board shall receive seven hundred and fifty dollars
($750.00) annually for expenses.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
