and at such times as the Court shall direct. The law clerk shall
perform such duties as may be prescribed by said Court, including
those duties performed by a bailiff of said Court, and shall work
under the supervision and direction of a judge of said Court. The
jury commissioner shall perform such duties as are prescribed by
the Jury Selection Plan adopted by the Circuit Court for Carroll
County pursuant to Chapter 408, Acts of 1969.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 422)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 108(16)
(a) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Justices of the
Peace," subtitle "Trial Magistrates System," to provide for an
increase in the salaries of the full-time judges of the People's
Court of Prince George's County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 108(16) (a) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1968 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Jus-
tices of the Peace," subtitle "Trial Magistrates System," be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and to
read as follows:
108.
(16) Prince George's County—(a) The full-time judges of the
People's Court of Prince George's County shall each receive a salary
of [twenty-one thousand dollars ($21,000)] twenty-five thousand
dollars ($25,000) per year. The chief judge shall receive an addi-
tional sum of $1,000 per annum over and above his regular salary for
his services as chief judge.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
