to be performed, amount of skill and educational background re-
quired, amount of time required to fulfill the duties of the office,
and any other factors appropriate to a determination of the proper
salary for each position. In its review the Board shall not consider
the individual persons holding or who might hold any position sub-
ject to this review. The Board shall report its findings and recom-
mendations to the members of the General Assembly of Maryland
representing Cecil County, and the County Commissioners of Cecil
County. Any expenses of the Board shall be provided for by the
County Commissioners.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 306)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 501 of
Article 2C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Supplement),
title "Alcoholism," subtitle "Severability," amending the alcohol-
ism laws of this State in order to make certain corrections in the
language thereof.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 501 of Article 2C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1969 Supplement), title "Alcoholism," subtitle "Severability," be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

501.

If any section, term or provision of this article shall be adjudged
invalid for any reason, such judgment shall not affect, impair or
invalidate any other section, term [of] or provision of said article,
but the remaining sections, terms and provisions shall be and remain
in full force and effect.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
