remain off until the installation is made satisfactory and certified by
the Inspection Agent.

(d) Any person, firm or corporation engaging in the electrical bus-
iness and/or electrical services related thereto, in Howard County without
first complying with these regulations, shall be subject to a "Cease and
Desist" order and to other penalties as provided by this Act.

3.311—Reciprocity

The Board of Electrical Examiners may certify to the Bureau of
Inspections, Licenses and Permits any applicant as qualified to be licensed,
without examination by the Board, if such applicant holds a similar
license and is currently licensed
IS A RESIDENT OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND AND CURRENTLY HOLDS A SIMILAR LICENSE in
another jurisdiction in the State of Maryland, which jurisdiction has ex-
aminations and qualifications procedures which have been found by the
Board to be equivalent to those required for licensing in Howard County,
Maryland, and which grants similar reciprocity to Howard County licensees,
provided all other requirements of this Act are met.

3.312—Penalties

Any violations of this Act shall be a misdemeanor, punishable by
a fine not to exceed One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or by imprisonment
not to exceed thirty (30) days, or both fine and imprisonment. A person
shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for every day that such
violation shall continue.

Section 3. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUN-
CIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, That the County Executive
shall, within thirty (30) days after the effective date of this Act, appoint
the incumbent members of the Board for five, four, three, two and one
years, respectively. In no event shall any incumbent member be appointed
for a period of time less than the remaining number of years in his
present term of appointment.

Section 4. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUN-
CIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, That if any provision of
this Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is
held invalid for any reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other
provisions or any other application of this Act which can be given effect
without the invalid provisions or application, and to this end, all provisions
of this Act are hereby declared to be severable.

Section 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY
COUNCIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, That this Act shall
take effect sixty (60) days after its enactment.

This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and returned to
the Council, stands enacted on November 5, 1969.
