The Board may on its own motion, and with sufficient cause, elect to
refund the hearing fee.

2.202—Form of Petitions Other Than Those Pertaining to Zoning—
the form of the petition shall be as prescribed by the Board of Appeals.

2.203—Contents of Petition—The petition shall be addressed to the
Board of Appeals, Courthouse, Ellicott City, Maryland, and shall contain
or include such statements and drawings as are described below:

(a) Petition Contents—The petition shall be filed in triplicate and
shall include the following:

1. What relief the Petitioner is seeking.

2. Text of petition.

3. The reasons for the petition.

4. A statement as to the facts to support the allegations of the
petition.

1.    A BRIEF STATEMENT OF FACTS, INCLUDING THE DECI-
SION OR ORDER BEING APPEALED.

2.    THE AUTHORITY FOR BRINGING THE PETITION.

3.    THE RELIEF SOUGHT.

4.    REASONS FOR THE RELIEF SOUGHT.

5.    Any other factors which the Petitioner(s) desire(s) the Board
to consider.

6. Name and mailing address of the Petitioner.
7. Name and mailing address of attorney, if any.

(b)    Advertising—At least thirty (30) days' notice of the time and
place of the beginning of the hearing shall be published once in at least
two newspapers of general circulation in Howard County, the cost of which
is to be borne by the Petitioner. All proposed advertising shall have the
approval of the Board of Appeals prior to being inserted in any newspaper.

(c)    Fees—Fees shall be paid by the Petitioner at the time the
petition is submitted. All checks shall be made payable to the Director
of Finance of Howard County. The following schedules of fees shall apply:

2.300—Schedule of Hearings

Within two (2) days of its receipt, the Zoning Enforcement Officer
(or the Secretary, IN CASE THE PETITION IS NOT A ZONING PETI-
TION,) shall submit one copy of the petition with all its supporting
documents to the Planning Board (in matters pertaining to zoning only)
and one copy to the members of the Board. The Chairman of the Board
shall determine and schedule the time and date of the hearings after
