Howard County shall prescribe. THE DOG TAX COLLECTORS SHALL
BE PAID A COMMISSION OF ONE DOLLAR AND TWENTY-FIVE
($1.25) CENTS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SUCH PROCEDURES AS
MAY BE ESTABLISHED BY THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE OF HO-
WARD COUNTY, ON EACH INDIVIDUAL DOG LICENSE FEE COL-
LECTED BY THEM BY WAY OF COMPENSATION FOR THE SERV-
ICES RENDERED BY THEM IN THE COLLECTION OF THE DOG
LICENSE FEES, AND GIVE BOND OF A CORPORATE SURETY
CONDITIONED UPON THE PROPER PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DU-
TIES, IN SUCH AMOUNT AS THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE OF
HOWARD COUNTY SHALL PRESCRIBE.
17.511—DOG TAX COLLECTORS—ACCOUNTING
The dog tax collector shall keep accurate and complete records of
all collections made by them and shall furnish the Animal Control Officer
and the County Treasurer by November Thirtieth of each year a list
of the names and addresses of all persons purchasing dog licenses along
with the individual tag numbers applicable to each license issued and a
detailed accounting of all funds collected,
17.512—DOG TAX COLLECTIONS—WHEN MADE
All dog tax collections made pursuant to this sub-title shall be made
between July First and October Thirty-first of each year.
17.513—DOG TAX RESPONSIBILITY
Nothing in this sub-title shall relieve any dog owner of the respon-
sibility for securing a proper dog license as required by Section 17.501
of this subtitle.
Section 2. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUN-
CIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, That this Act shall take
effect sixty (60) days after its enactment.
This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and returned to the
Council, stands enacted on June 16,1969.

Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Metropolitan Com-
mission", and to enact new Sections 17.200 through 17.223 inclusive
of Title 17, "Public Works", Subtitle "Public Utilities" of the Howard
County Code to provide for the transfer of personnel and property
of former Metropolitan Commission to Department of Public Works;
to establish Metropolitan District and to provide for extension
thereof; to provide for extension of water and sewer facilities; to
provide for water and sewer house connections; to provide for pro-
tection of fire hydrants; to provide for water conservation; to provide
for jurisdiction of Department of Public Works over private water
and sewer systems; to provide construction requirements for private
