Section 3-208 (157).

Immediately below Subsection 1309.2 of the Fourth Edition of the
BOCA Basic Building Code, add the following new Subsections: "Sub-
section 1309.3. Removal of Building Debris. No scrap wood, form materials
or other debris subject to decomposition shall be buried or left under floors,
porches or around foundation walls."

Section 3-208(158).

Immediately below Subsection 1309.2 of the Fourth Edition of the
BOCA Basic Building Code (as amended by Section 3-208 (157) of this
ordinance) add a new Subsection 1309.4 to read as follows: "Subsection
1309.4. Driveways. Driveways, when installed, shall extend from street
or alley pavement to garage, carport or parking space. The minimum width
shall be eight (8) feet. The maximum gradient between vertical transitions
shall be twenty percent (20%). The vertical transition shall prevent con-
tact of car undercarriage or bumper with the driveway surfaces. Align-
ment shall be safe and convenient to back a car out or an adequate turn-
around shall be provided."

Section 3-208 (159).

Immediately below Subsection 1502.1 of the Fourth Edition of the
BOCA Basic Building Code, add the following new Subsection 1502.3:
"Subsection 1502.3. Grounding Electrode. In order to provide an adequate
electrical ground for those structures which do not have water provided
by a metallic water service line (public or private) a grounding electrode
shall be provided. This shall consist of a minimum horizontal length of
TWENTY (20) FEET bare copper conductor placed along the bottom of
the footing excavation prior to pouring of the concrete. The conductor will
be located nearest the expected electric lead in to the building by the utility
company, and will be extended so as to provide a minimum of six (6) inches
of wire above the finished grade on the outside of the foundation wall.
The electrode size in diameter shall be as follows:

Over 600          Amp.                                        #3/0

Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.
