2490                               Municipal Charters

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF ANNE
ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, THAT SECTION 35-2 OF THE
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY CODE (1957 EDITION AND 1961 CUM-
ULATIVE SUPPLEMENT, AS LAST AMENDED BY BILL NO. 92-68),
CHAPTER 35, "ZONING", ARTICLE I, "IN GENERAL", BE AND IT
IS HEREBY AMENDED BY ADDING THE DEFINITION FOR THE
WORD "BEDROOM" IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE DEFINITION
FOR THE WORDS "APARTMENT HOUSE" TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

BEDROOM. ANY HABITABLE ROOM OR ENCLOSED FLOOR
SPACE (1) WHICH IS, OR COULD BE USED FOR SLEEPING PUR-
POSES (IRRESPECTIVE OF ITS BEING ASSIGNED A DIFFERENT
NAME, SUCH AS A "STUDY", "DEN", "SOCIAL ROOM", ETC.), (2)
BEING OTHER THAN ONE LIVING ROOM FOR EACH APARTMENT
UNIT USED FOR COMMON ACTIVITIES, (3) BEING EXCLUSIVE OF
A ROOM(S) OR ENCLOSED FLOOR SPACE(S) ARRANGED FOR
EATING, DINING OR COOKING PURPOSES, AND (4) OF ACCES-
SORY FLOOR SPACES SUCH AS FOYERS, HALLWAYS, PANTRIES
AND BATHROOMS.

Section 1 2. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUN-
CIL OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 35-63
(f) is hereby added to the Anne Arundel County Code (1957 Edition
and Supplements), Chapter 35, "Zoning", Article II, "Districts", Division
4, "Apartment Districts", Subdivision I, "Group House Type Districts",
to follow immediately after Section 35-63 (e) thereof, to read as follows:

Section 35-63

(f) All multi-family units of three (3) bedrooms or more in excess
of ten percent (10%) of the building units or complex or both except
as permitted under Section 35 113 through 115,
inclusive.

Section 2, 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 35-70
(e) is hereby added to said Code, Chapter, Article and Division, Subdi-
vision II, "Garden Type Districts", to follow immediately after 35-70 (d)
thereof, to read as follows:

Section 35-70

(e) All multi-family units of three (3) bedrooms or more in excess
of ten percent (10%) of the building units or complex or both except
as permitted under Section 35 113 through 115,
inclusive.

Section 3 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 35-78

(d)  is hereby added to said Code, Chapter, Article and Division, Sub-
division III, "General Apartment Type Districts", to follow immediately
after Section 35-78 (c) thereof, to read as follows:

Section 35-78

(d) All multi-family units of three (3) bedrooms or more in excess
of ten percent (10%) of the building units or complex or both except
as permitted under Section 35-113 through 115,
inclusive.

Section 4 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section 35-86

(e)  is hereby added to said Code, Chapter, and Article, Division 5, "Light
Commercial Districts", to follow immediately after Section 35-86 (d)
thereof, to read as follows:
