2422                               Municipal Charters

promptly WITHIN SAID TWENTY (20) MINUTE PERIOD. No person
shall, in any way, solicit for towing business nor shall any person attempt
to take any vehicle in tow unless he or it shall have been summoned for
that purpose by the police department or unless he or it shall have been
summoned by the person involved in the accident, (Bill No. 84 (1965) S. 1.)

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new Section
12-1405A be and it is hereby added to the said Code under the said heading
and subheading, to follow immediately after Section 12-1405 thereof, and
to read as follows:

Section 12-1405 A. SameLocation requirements.

No license shall be issued to any applicant when an existing licensee
legally operates from a location within four (4) ROAD miles of such
applicant's proposed place of business.

Section 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five days from the date it becomes law. IS HEREBY
DECLARED TO BE AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AND NECES-
SARY FOR THE IMMEDIATE PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC
PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY, WELFARE AND PROPERTY, AND
BEING PASSED BY THE AFFIRMATIVE VOTE OF FIVE MEMBERS
OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL, THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT
FROM THE DATE IT BECOMES LAW.

READ AND PASSED this 17th day of February, 1969.

An Ordinance to add new Sections 12-1801 through 12-1810, in-
clusive, to the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supple-
ments), Title 12. "Licenses, Permits and Inspections," to follow im-
mediately after Section 12-1799 thereof and to be under the new
Subtitle 18. "Pawnbrokers," providing for the licensing and bonding
of pawnbrokers in Anne Arundel County, requiring certain reports
from pawnbrokers, establishing certain procedures relating to stolen
goods in the possession of pawnbrokers, providing certain penalties
and relating generally to the business of pawnbrokers in Anne
Arundel County.
