2330 Municipal Charters
Section 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Mayor and City
Council of the City of Gaithersburg that the date of the introduction of
this Resolution is the 9th day of June, 1969, and shall become effective
forty-five (45) days following its adoption, unless a prompt petition for
referendum thereon shall be filed as permitted by law, and provided further
that the notice as required by law shall be published in the Gaithersburg
Gazette, being a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Gaithers-
burg, once each week in the weeks of June 9, 1969, June 16, 1969, June
23, 1969 and June 30, 1969. Said notice to provide for a public hearing to
be held on July 21, 1969 at 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Mayor
and City Council, 31 South Summit Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Section 3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City
Council of Gaithersburg, that as soon as this Resolution is adopted it
shall become effective either as herein provided, or the following of a refer-
endum, the City Administrator shall promptly send copies of said resolu-
tion to the following:

Section 4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City
Council of the City of Gaithersburg, that the persons residing therein, if
any, shall, after the effective date of this Resolution, be subject to all the
laws, ordinances and resolutions of the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

hereby certify that the foregoing is the true and correct Resolution No.
R-40-69 passed at a meeting of the Mayor and City Council of Gaithersburg
held on the 6th day of October, 1969.

Charter Amendment No. 1-69
Resolution and Ordinance to amend Glenarden Town Charter to
provide for registration in every odd numbered year.
Whereas, Section 25 of the Article of the Town Charter entitled
"Registration, Nominations, and Elections" provides for registration on
the 1st Monday in April in every second odd numbered year, and
