leaving said iron bar and binding on said division line N 02 degrees 33
minutes 00 seconds W 1254.51 feet to a point and N 04 degrees 00 min-
utes 10 seconds E 453.05 feet to an iron pipe found in the southerly line of
U.S. Route 40; thence, leaving said iron pipe and crossing U.S. Route 40,
N 21 degrees 50 minutes 30 seconds W 127.49 feet to the place of beginning.

As surveyed by J. R. McCrone, Jr., Inc., Registered Land Surveyors,
in July 1969, said survey being based on Maryland State Grid, a copy of
said survey being attached to this Resolution.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the persons
and property included within the aforementioned boundaries and taxable
limits of the area hereby annexed to the Town of Elkton shall be subject
to all the provisions of the charter, laws and ordinances heretofore en-
acted or those subsequently enacted by the Town of Elkton and in addition
all of the Public Local Laws or Public General Laws heretofore or sub-
sequently passed by the Maryland Legislature on behalf of the Town of
Elkton.

Section 3. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no property
being annexed herein into the municipal limits of the Town of Elkton
shall be subject to levy for Town taxes until municipal water and/or sewer
lines are available to the property owners, at which time taxes shall be
levied.

Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the area to be
annexed be zoned as follows, viz.:

(a)    That the portion thereof on the Northerly side of U.S. Route 40
be zoned R-l;

(b)    That all of the frontage on the Southerly side of U.S. Route 40
to the depth of six hundred (600) feet be zoned as C-2;

(c)    That the balance of the tract be zoned A-R.

Section 5. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and
Commissioners of the Town of Elkton will hold a public meeting in regards
to the enactment of this Resolution on November 10, 1969 at 8:00 P.M.
in the Town Hall of the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of Elkton,
Elkton, Maryland.

Section 6. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the date of
adoption of this Resolution is September 24, 1969 and the amendment to
the charter of the Town of Elkton by the Mayor and Commissioners of
Elkton hereby proposed by this enactment shall become effective forty-
five (45) days after final enactment, unless a proper petition for a referen-
dum hereon shall be filed as permitted by law, provided a complete and
exact copy of this Resolution shall be posted in the Town Hall of Elkton
until December 31, 1969 and PROVIDED, FURTHER, that public notice
of the contents of this Resolution shall be published in the "Cecil Whig",
or "Cecil Democrat", a newspaper of general circulation in the town of
Elkton, once in each of the weeks of October 1, 8, 15, 22, 1969.

Section 7. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of
the Town of Elkton be and he is hereby specifically enjoined and in-
structed to carry out the provisions of Section 6 hereof, and, as evidence
of said compliance, the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of Elkton
shall cause to be affixed to the minutes of this meeting appropriate cer-
tificates of publication of the newspaper in which the title of this Reso-
