2306                               Municipal Charters

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland that
Section 17-30 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County,
Maryland, (1963 Edition), titled, "Cottage City," and subtitled, "Taxes,"
and subheaded, "Assessments," being a part of the Charter of the Town of
Cottage City, Maryland, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:

17-30. Taxes—Assessments.

All real property [and all tangible personal property] within the
corporate limits of the town, [or personal property which may have a
situs there by reason of the residence of the owner therein] shall be sub-
ject to taxation for municipal purposes, and the assessment used shall be
the same as that for State and County taxes. No authority is given by
this section to impose taxes on any property which is exempt from taxa-
tion by any act of the General Assembly.

Charter Amendment No. 69-2

A Resolution and Ordinance to repeal Section 17-32 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, Maryland, (1963 Edi-
tion), titled, "Cottage City," and subtitled, "Tax Sales—Personal
Property," being a part of the Charter of Cottage City, Maryland, and
striking the tax and collection of tax on personal property.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland, that
Section 17-32 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County,
Maryland, (1963 Edition), titled, "Cottage City," and subtitled, "Tax
Sales—Personal Property," being a part of the Charter of the Town of
Cottage City, Maryland, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

17-32. Tax Sales—Personal Property.

[Taxes on personal property shall be collected as is now provided by
law for the collection of such taxes due Prince George's County.]

Charter Amendment No. 69-3

A Resolution and Ordinance to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments Section 17-5(g) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County, Maryland, (1963 Edition), titled "Cottage City,"
and subtitled "Town Officers," and subheaded, "Compensation," being
a part of the Charter of Cottage City, Maryland, removing old limita-
tions of salaries and permitting salaries not to exceed $25.00 per
month for Chairman-Commissioner; not to exceed $25.00 per month
for Police-Commissioner; not to exceed $20.00 per month for other
Commissioners; and a salary not to exceed $250.00 per month for
Treasurer.

Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland, that
Section 17-5(g) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
