BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that the aforegoing
Resolution and Ordinance be and the same is hereby adopted this 24th
day of January, 1969, by the Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood,
Maryland.

Charter Amendment No. 69-4
A Resolution and Ordinance to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments Section 6-10(a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County, Maryland, (1963 Edition), titled, "Brentwood," and
and subtitled "Elections," and subheaded "Date; hours," being a part
of the Charter of the Town of Brentwood, Maryland, and changing
the Day of Town Election from the Fourth Monday of June to the
First Monday of May, and permitting the Mayor and Council to
determine compensation of Election Clerks.
Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that Section 6-10(a)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, Maryland
(1963 Edition), titled, "Brentwood," and subtitled "Elections," and sub-
headed "Date; hours," being a part of the Charter of the Town of Brent-
wood, Maryland, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments to read as follows:
6-10. Elections.
(a) Date; hours. [Annually] In each year in which there is a Town
election, after due notice printed in some county newspaper having gen-
eral circulation in the town, the Supervisors of Election shall appoint two
clerks who shall receive [ten dollars] such compensation shall be deter-
mined by the Mayor and Town Council [each] for each and every day
they be required to serve, and conduct an election by ballot on the [fourth
Monday of June] first Monday of May, if not a legal holiday, and if a legal
holiday, then on the day following, for the election of officers provided for
in Section 6-5 of this subtitle. The polls shall be opened between the hours
of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The judges of election shall prepare ballots containing
the names of those persons who have complied with the provisions speci-
fied in Section 6-13 of this subtitle, making them eligible to become a
candidate for the office for which they seek. The Mayor and Town Council
shall receive all returns of elections and determine all cases arising there-
under, except as otherwise provided by Section 6-9 of this Article, and any
voter who feels that he has been aggrieved by any ruling as to the eligibility
or his right to vote may file an appeal to the Circuit Court for Prince
George's County and the same shall be determined by said Court.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that any section or
