Approved April 15, 1970. No. 11 House Joint Resolution requesting the County Commissioners of Allegany County to obtain a site for a museum of mobile units now owned by Mr. James Lancaster of Mt. Savage, Maryland. Mr. James Lancaster, a retired machinist living in Mount Savage, Maryland, has an outstanding collection of scale models of mobile units that reflect the mechanization of farming and travel in the United States. Included in this collection are scale models of wheat threshers, automobiles, and railroad engines. He also has a miniature railroad city which includes a sand mill, a coal processing plant, an electric plant, a drilling outfit, and moving cars. These models are the work of Mr. Lancaster and indicate a craftsmanship that is rarely found today.
