MT. SAVAGE, MARYLAND.

(House Joint Resolution 59)
House Joint Resolution requesting the County Executive of Balti-
more County and the Baltimore County Revenue Authority to con-
sider the feasibility of providing a commuter rate for regular users
of the Dundalk Avenue Bridge and the Memorial Bridge into
Sparrows Point.
Whereas, The Dundalk Avenue Bridge and the Memorial Bridge
which provide access to Sparrows Point are heavily used by people
employed at Sparrows Point; and
Whereas, Both of these bridges are at the present time toll
bridges, necessitating daily expense on the part of persons employed
at Sparrows Point; and
Whereas, Although the present fee for passenger vehicles is not
great, nevertheless it imposes an additional burden on people em-
ployed at Sparrows Point, especially in these times when inflation
cuts into the individual's purchasing power so heavily; and
Whereas, Most, if not all, toll facilities in the State provide a
monthly commuter rate to ease the financial burden on regular users
of such facilities, for example, the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel and the
William Preston Lane Bridge; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the General Assembly, That the County Executive of
Baltimore County and the members of the Baltimore County Rev-
enue Authority are requested to consider the feasibility of establish-
ing a monthly commuter rate for the Dundalk Avenue Bridge and
the Memorial Bridge which provide access to Sparrows Point; and
be it further
Resolved, That copies of this Resolution be sent to Dale Anderson,
County Executive of Baltimore County and to the members of the
Baltimore County Revenue Authority.

(House Joint Resolution 68)
House Joint Resolution requesting the Congress of the United States
to consider the possibility of converting and operating Fort
Detrick, Maryland, as a center for the study of environmental
pollution.
Whereas, environmental pollution is of great concern to the people
of Maryland and the people of the United States; and
Whereas, Fort Detrick is to be vacated as a center for the study
of biological warfare; and
Whereas, Fort Detrick has facilities and trained personnel for
efficient study of the matter of environmental pollution; now, there-
fore, be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Congress
of the United States be requested to consider the possibility of con-
verting and operating Fort Detrick as a center for the study of
environmental pollution; and, be it further
