(3) Selling proprietary or patent medicines.
(4) Practicing as an optician.

(5)  Massage by hand, or other manipulation by hand but by no
other means.

(6)  Practicing any profession otherwise registered, certified or
licensed and defined by law.

120. The Board of Medical ExaminersEstablishment.

The Board of Medical Examiners of the State of Maryland is
hereby established, as part of the Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene.

(1)  It shall consist of eight members elected by the Medical and
Chirurgical Faculty of the State of Maryland at its annual meeting.
TWO MEMBERS TO BE ELECTED BY THE FACULTY EACH
YEAR. THEIR TERMS SHALL COMMENCE FIRST DAY OF
JUNE NEXT FOLLOWING THEIR ELECTION. THE BOARD OF
MEDICAL EXAMINERS OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND, AS
CONSTITUTED ON JUNE 30, 1970, SHALL CONTINUE AS CON-
STITUTED AT THAT TIME, WITH EACH MEMBER SERVING
FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TIME FOR WHICH HE WAS
SELECTED.

(2)   The members shall be physicians practicing medicine in the
State of Maryland.

(3)  A majority of the members of the Board constitutes a
quorum.

(4) The members shall serve a four-year term and may succeed
themselves.

(5) Two members shall be elected by the Faculty each year. The

terms shall commence on the first day of June next following the

election of the member.

(6) (5) In the event of a vacancy, the Board shall select a new
member to serve until his successor, elected at the next annual
meeting of the Faculty, takes office.
TO SERVE FOR THE RE-
MAINDER OF SUCH UNEXPIRED TERM.

(6) The Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene ON THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAM-
INERS may remove any member of the Board for cause. NEGLECT
OF DUTY, MISCONDUCT, OR MALFEASANCE OR MIS-
FEASANCE IN OFFICE.

121. The Board of Medical ExaminersPowers and Duties.
The Board has the following powers and duties:

(a) (1) Establish and administer examinations to be taken by ap-
plicants for license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.

(b) (2) Establish such other qualifications of applicants as it
deems advisable for license to practice medicine.

(c) (3) License qualified applicants to practice medicine in the
State of Maryland.
