BUILDING OF, ON OR ABOUT THE GROUNDS OF OR IN THE
IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF ANY SCHOOL, COLLEGE OR UNI-
VERSITY.

C) ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE PROHIBITIONS OF
THIS SECTION SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDE-
MEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION THEREOF, SHALL BE
FINED NOT MORE THAN $1,000.00 OR IMPRISONED FOR NOT
MORE THAN SIX MONTHS, OR BOTH.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provision of this
Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid for any reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other
provisions or any other application of this Act which can be given
effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end,
all the provisions of this Act are hereby declared to be severable.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 522)

AN ACT to add new Section 11-2(j) to Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supple-
ment), title "Election Code," subtitle "Party Governing Bodies,"
to follow immediately after Section 11-2(i) thereof, to provide
that the number of members of the party State central commit-
tees in each legislative district of Baltimore City shall be equal
to the number of members that the legislative district is entitled
to elect to the Maryland House of Delegates.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 11-2(j) be and it is hereby added to Article 33
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and
1969 Supplement), title "Election Code," subtitle "Party Governing
Bodies," to follow immediately after Section 11-2(i) thereof, and to
read as follows:

11-2.

(i) In Baltimore City the members of the party State central
committees shall be elected from the Legislative districts of Balti-
more City; and the number of members of each party State central
committee from any Legislative District shall be equal to the number
of persons that the Legislative District is entitled to elect to the
House of Delegates of the General Assembly of Maryland.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
