cipal which will be payable to the close of the next ensuing taxable
year on all certificates theretofore issued or heretofore authorized
by resolution of the Board of Public Works to be issued and the
governing bodies of each of the counties and Baltimore City shall
forthwith levy and collect such tax at such rate.
Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That all matters committed by
this Act to the discretion of the Board of Public Works are SHALL
BE determined by a majority of said Board.
Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That it is the legislative inten-
tion to provide financial assistance for capital expenses which may
be incurred after the effective date of this Act in the acquisition of
land and the construction of public junior or community colleges.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 1188)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 155 (f)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Boards of
License Commissioners," to increase the salaries of the members,
clerk, and attorney of the Liquor License Board of Calvert County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 155(f) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
title "Boards of License Commissioners," be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
155.
(f) Calvert County.—In Calvert County each of the members of
the board shall receive an annual salary of [eight hundred dollars
($800.00)] twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00). The clerk to the
board shall receive annual compensation of [five hundred dollars
($500.00)] eight hundred dollars ($800.00) and the attorney to the
board shall receive annual compensation of [six hundred dollars
($600.00)] one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). Members of the board
as well as the clerk and the attorney shall not receive any extra
compensation for expenses.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
