land my make the selection for any institution that has allowed

a vacancy to remain unfilled for more than thirty days. Appoint-

ment to the Board shall be for one term of five years, but no mem-

ber may serve the Board for more than ten years, nor after he

reaches the age of sixty five or moves out of the City of Cumberland
and its immediate suburbs, or removed for cause.
EACH MEMBER
MAY SERVE THE BOARD FOR TEN YEARS, UNTIL HE IS
65 YEARS OLD, MOVES HIS PRINCIPAL PLACE OF RESI-
DENCE AWAY FROM ALLEGANY COUNTY OR IS REMOVED
FOR CAUSE, WHICHEVER SHALL COME FIRST. THIS TEN-
YEAR PERIOD BEGINS TO RUN FROM THE TIME SERV-
ICE ON THE BOARD COMMENCED. MEMBERS OF THE
BOARD ON JANUARY 1, 1971, WHO HAVE SERVED 10 YEARS
OR MORE MUST TERMINATE THEIR MEMBERSHIP ON
THAT DATE. [Said] The Board shall elect from among its mem-
bers a Chairman and a Secretary and a Treasurer and shall hold
regular monthly meetings and oftener if necessary. Said Board shall
have power by a majority vote at any regular meeting to expel
any member thereof, for cause. [, and in the event of a vacancy
caused by death, resignation, expulsion, removal from the City of
Cumberland or its immediate suburbs, or upon the attaining of the
age of sixty-five years of any member thereof, said Board shall elect
a successor to fill such vacancy. The term of the Mayor of the City
of Cumberland and the President of the County Commissioners of
Allegany County as ex officio members of said Board shall be co-
extensive with their respective term of office and no longer.]

(B) FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACTING AS A LIAISON BE-
TWEEN THE PEOPLE OF ALLEGANY COUNTY AND THE
BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL OF
CUMBERLAND, MARYLAND, THERE IS HEREBY CREATED
THE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE. THE
COMMITTEE SHALL BE COMPOSED OF PERSONS CHOSEN
FOR THE FOLLOWING TERMS IN THE FOLLOWING MAN-
NER: TWO MEMBERS SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE
WESTERN MARYLAND LABOR COUNCIL, THE FIRST FOR
AN INITIAL TERM OF ONE YEAR, AND THE SECOND FOR
AN INITIAL TERM OF TWO YEARS; TWO SHALL BE AP-
POINTED BY THE SOUTH CUMBERLAND BUSINESS AND
CIVIC ASSOCIATION, THE FIRST FOR AN INITIAL TERM
OF ONE YEAR, THE SECOND FOR AN INITIAL TERM OF
2 YEARS; TWO SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE WESTERN
MARYLAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, THE FIRST FOR
AN INITIAL TERM OF 3 YEARS, AND THE SECOND FOR
AN INITIAL TERM OF 4 YEARS; ONE SHALL BE APPOINTED
BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF CUMBERLAND FOR
AN INITIAL TERM OF 3 YEARS; ONE SHALL BE APPOINTED
BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ALLEGANY COUNTY
FOR AN INITIAL TERM OF 4 YEARS; AND ONE SHALL BE
APPOINTED BY THE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL MEDICAL
STAFF FOR AN INITIAL TERM OF 5 YEARS. AT THE END
OF THE RESPECTIVE INITIAL TERMS, THE SUCCESSOR,
WHO SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE SAME ORGANIZATION
THAT APPOINTED THE MEMBER WHOSE TERM HAS
ENDED, SHALL SERVE FOR A TERM OF 5 YEARS, NO
MEMBER MAY BE UNDER 25 YEARS OLD NOR MAY SERVE
AFTER REACHING 65 YEARS OF AGE. NO MEMBER MAY
