[BLINDS IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY]
[Ch. 416, Acts 1945]

[(d) This section shall not apply to any person who has an
established licensed blind or blinds located in the waters of Anne
Arundel County or in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay opposite the
shore line of said county prior to January 1, 1927, and said licensee
shall have the right to file an application with the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of Anne Arundel County for renewal of said license
during the month of June of each year, and said Clerk of Court
shall issue licenses in rotation as applications are received on the
first day of July following or thereafter of each year.]

[(e) In the waters of Kent County, owners, lessees or licensees,
shall have the right to make a choice of the set or position as pro-
vided in subsection (a) above on or before October 10 of each year,
but after said date no person other than the landowner or his assigns
shall make a choice of the set or position in the waters above.]

(d) (E) (E) It shall be lawful in or over the waters of this State
to erect, set or maintain a stationary blind or establish a blind site for
the purpose of shooting wild waterfowl, as hereinbefore provided, at a

distance not greater than three hundred (300) yards from the nat-

ural shore line but not closer than two hundred (200) yards from

the center line of any river or creek, except as otherwise provided in
this Article

OF THE DISTANCE FROM SHORE TO THE OPPOSITE
SHORE PROVIDED THAT SUCH BLIND OR BLIND SITE
MAY NOT BE LOCATED MORE THAN 300 YARDS FROM
SHORE EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 157. THE
DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND
INLAND FISH SHALL BE SOLE JUDGE OF WHAT CON-
STITUTES "OPPOSITE SHORE" FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS
SUBSECTION. Said blinds or stakes shall not be less than five hun-
dred (500) yards apart measured in a straight line unless otherwise
provided in this Article. On irregular shore lines in creeks, coves, bays
and indentations, where it is impossible to place duck blinds 500
yards apart, the Director may permit duck blinds to be placed not
less than 400 yards apart nor less than 150 yards from the dividing
line as provided in Section 161 of this Article and may, where the
circumstances require and with such regard for the rights of adjoin-
ing owners, designate the points with respect to distances from the
shore and distances from the dividing line between the properties at
which blinds may be placed.

(c) (F) (F) If any licensee erects a blind or sets a stake, as here-
inbefore provided, and the same is lost or destroyed in any manner
beyond his control, he shall not lose his set or location but may re-
establish the same at any time during the current hunting season.
