Sec. 7- 625. Settlement of actions against the Board.

In any action brought against the Board pursuant to an order by

the court entered in accordance with the provisions of Sections 7
620, 7-622, or 7-623 of this Article, the plaintiff may file a verified

Board to settle all claims set forth in the complaint in the action
and stating the amount proposed to be paid to him pursuant thereto.
If the court be
satisfied of the fairness of the proposed settlement,
it may enter an
order approving the settlement and enter a judg-

ment against the Board for the amount agreed to be paid there-

under.

Sec. 7-625.1 SECTION 7-625. Settlement of actions against the

Board.

(a)    In an action brought against the Board pursuant to an order
by the court entered in accordance with the provisions of section
7-620 where a settlement in excess of $5,000 has been agreed upon
between plaintiff and the Board, the plaintiff may file a verified
petition alleging that he has entered into an agreement with the
Board to settle all claims set forth in the complaint in the action
and stating the amount proposed to be paid to him pursuant thereto.
If the court be satisfied of the fairness of the proposed settlement,
it may enter an order approving the settlement and enter a judg-
ment against the Board for the amount agreed to be paid thereunder.

(b)     In an action brought against the Board pursuant to an order
by the court entered in accordance with the provisions of section
7-620, the insurer to whom the action has been assigned may settle
without court approval any claim involving payment of $5,000 or
less with approval of the chief administrative employee of the Board
and any member of the Board satisfied that the claimant has com-
plied with the requirements of section 7-620.

§ 7-626. Judgment against the Board.

When judgment is obtained against the Board in an action
brought under this part, the determination of all proceedings in-
cluding appeals and reviews, the court shall make an order directing
the Treasurer to pay out of the fund to the plaintiff the amount
thereof which does not exceed fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00),
exclusive of interest and costs, on account of injury to, or death of
one person and, subject to this limit for the death of, or injury to,
any one person, does not exceed thirty thousand dollars ($80,000.00),
exclusive of interest and costs, on account of the injury to, or death
of, more than one person, in any one accident, provided that the
applicable maximum amount or the amount of the judgment, which-
ever is smaller, shall be reduced by the total of amounts referred to
in subsection (b) by Section 7-615.

§ 7-627. Subrogation.

When judgment has been obtained against the Board in an action
brought under this part, the Board, upon payment from the fund
of the amount of the judgment to the extent provided in this part,
shall be subrogated to the cause of action of the judgment creditor
against the operator or owner of the motor vehicle by which the
accident was occasioned, and shall be entitled to bring an action
against either or both persons for the amount of the damage sus-
