§ 6-208.2. Fee for restoring revoked driving privilege.

Any resident or nonresident whose driver's license or right or
privilege to drive a motor vehicle in this State has been revoked as
provided in this article, upon filing an application for a new license
or for reinstatement of his right or privilege to drive, shall pay to
the department a fee of $10.00, and if the reinstatement applied for
is granted an additional fee of $15.00 shall be paid to the department
in addition to any and all other fees provided by law.

§ 6-209. Surrender and return of license.

The department, upon suspending, cancelling, or revoking a li-
cense, shall require that the license be surrendered to and retained
by the department, but at the end of a period of suspension
the license shall be returned to the licensee.

§ 6-210. No deriving under foreign license during suspension or rev-
ocation in this State.

Any resident or nonresident whose license or whose right or
privilege to drive a motor vehicle in this State has been refused,
suspended, or revoked, as provided in this article shall not drive a
motor vehicle in this State under a license, permit or registration
certificate issued by any other jurisdiction or otherwise during the
suspension or refusal or after the revocation until a new license is
obtained when and as permitted under this article.

§ 6-211. Right to appeal to court.

(a)    Any person denied a license or whose license has been can-
celled, refused, suspended, or revoked by the department, except
where the cancellation or revocation is mandatory under the provi-
sions of this article, may file an appeal for a hearing in the matter
in the Baltimore City Court or in the circuit court of the county,
as the case may be, wherein the person resides, and the court is
vested with jurisdiction to take testimony and examine into the facts
of the case and to determine if the petitioner is entitled to a license
or is subject to suspension, refusal, cancellation, or revocation of
license under the provisions of this article. In the case of non-resi-
dents, the circuit court of the county or the Baltimore City Court,
depending upon the place the non-resident was convicted of any
violation of this article has jurisdiction. In cases where jurisdiction
is not otherwise provided for in this section, the Circuit Court for
Anne Arundel County shall have jurisdiction.

(b)    In the event an appeal is prayed, the department may stay
its order pending determination of the appeal.

Part IIIViolation of License Provisions.                   

§ 6-301. Unlawful use of license.
It is a misdemeanor for any person:

(1) To display or cause or permit to be displayed or have in his
possession any cancelled, revoked, suspended, fictitious, or fraudu-
lently altered license;
