§ 1-158. Park or parking.

Park or parking means the standing of a vehicle, whether oc-
cupied or not, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and
while actually engaged in loading or unloading merchandise or pas-
sengers.

§ 1-159. Pedestrian.
Pedestrian means any person afoot.

§ 1-160. Person.

Person means every natural person, firm, copartnership, associa-
tion, or corporation.

§ 1-161. Pneumatic tire.

Pneumatic tire means every tire in which compressed air is de-
signed to support the load.

§ 1-162. Pole trailer.

Pole trailer means every vehicle without motive power designed
to be drawn by another vehicle and attached to the towing vehicle
by means of a reach or pole, or by being boomed or otherwise secured
to the towing vehicle, and ordinarily used for transporting long or
irregularly shaped loads such as poles, pipes, or structural members
capable, generally, of sustaining themselves as beams between the
supporting connections.

§ 1-168. Police officer.

Police officer means every officer authorized to direct or regulate
traffic or to make arrests for violations of any of the provisions of
this article or local or other traffic laws or regulations.

§ 1-164. Private road or driveway.

Private road or driveway means every way or place in private
ownership and used for vehicular travel by the owner and those
having express or implied permission from the owner, but not by
other persons.

§ 1-165. Railroad.

Railroad means a carrier of persons or property upon cars, other
than streetcars, operated upon stationary rails.

§ 1-166. Railroad sign or signal.

Railroad sign or signal means any sign, signal, or device erected
by authority of a public body or official or by a railroad and intended
to give notice of the presence of railroad tracks or the approach of a
railroad train.

§ 1-167. Railroad train.

Railroad train means a steam engine, electric or other motor, with
or without cars coupled thereto, operated upon rails, except street-
cars.
