(3) AMBULANCES.

ONLY THE FOREGOING DESCRIBED EMERGENCY VE-
HICLES WHICH ARE DESIGNATED OR AUTHORIZED BY THE
COMMISSIONER SHALL BE ENTITLED TO THE EXEMP-
TIONS AND PRIVILEGES GRANTED ELSEWHERE IN THIS
ARTICLE.

§ 1-108.1 Authorized Service Vehicles:

Vehicles of municipal, county, state or federal departments, public
service companies, and such vehicles of persons performing govern-
mental functions under a contract with any municipal, county, state
or federal government which are designated and authorized by the
Commissioner as authorized service or escort vehicles.

§ 1-104. Bicycle.

Bicycle means every device propelled by human power upon which
any person may ride, having two tandem wheels.

§ 1-105. Bus.

Bus means every motor vehicle designed for carrying more than
10 passengers and used for the transportation of persons; and every
motor vehicle, other than a taxicab, designed and used for the trans-
portation of persons for compensation.

§ 1-106. Business district.

Business district means the territory contiguous to and including
a highway when 50 per cent or more of the frontage thereon for a
distance of 300 feet or more is occupied by buildings in use for
business.

§ 1-107. Cancellation of driver's license.

Cancellation of driver's license means the annulment or termination
by formal action of the department of a person's driver's license
because of some error or defect in the license or because the licensee
is no longer entitled to such license, if the cancellation of a license is
without prejudice and application for a new license may be made at
any time after cancellation.

§ 1-108. Chauffeur.

Chauffeur means every person who is employed for the purpose
of driving a motor vehicle and every person who drives a motor
vehicle while in use as a public or common carrier of persons or
property for hire.

§ 1-109. Combination.

Combination means a combination of a motor vehicle and one or
more other vehicles propelled or pushed as a unit.

§ 1-110. Commercial motor vehicle.

Commercial motor vehicle means every motor vehicle and every
trailer or semi-trailer designed and used for carrying freight or
