ing Board, and all of said appointments shall be made pursuant to
the laws, rules and regulations pertaining to or issued by the [Mary-
land Airport Authority] Secretary of Transportation. The said
executive secretary and all other assistants and employees shall
receive such compensation as may be authorized for such purpose by
the [Maryland Airport Authority] Secretary of Transportation.
The Authority shall furnish adequate office space for the proper
functioning of said Airport Zoning Board.

(f) (3) Compensation. The chairman and all other members of
said Airport Zoning Commission shall receive such compensation as
may be authorized for such purpose of the [Maryland Airport
Authority] Secretary of Transportation.

(4) Employees and Staff. The said Airport Zoning Commission
is hereby authorized to appoint a secretary of said Commission and
such other assistants and employees as may be necessary for the
proper performance of the duties and business of said Airport Zon-
ing Commission and all said appointments shall be made pursuant to
the laws, rules and regulations pertaining to or issued by the [Mary-
land Airport Authority] Secretary of Transportation. The said sec-
retary and all other assistants and employees shall receive such com-
pensation as may be authorized by the [Maryland Airport Author-
ity] Secretary of Transportation. The Authority shall furnish ade-
quate office space for the proper functioning of said Airport Zoning
Commission.

(j)(4) Employees; Staff. The said Board of Zoning Appeals is
hereby authorized to appoint a secretary of said Board and such
other assistants and employees as may be necessary for the proper
performance of the duties and business of said Board and all of said
appointments shall be made pursuant to the laws, rules and regula-
tions pertaining to or issued by the [Maryland Airport Authority]
Secretary of Transportation. The Authority shall furnish adequate
office space for the proper functioning of said Board of Airport
Zoning Appeals. The chairman and all other members of said Board,
as well as the said secretary and all assistants and employees shall
receive such compensation as may be authorized for such purpose
by the [Maryland Airport Authority] Secretary of Transportation.

Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That Sections 2(c), 5, 14, 25,
26, 27, 41, 42 and 43 of Article 64B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1967 1957 Edition, 1968 Replacement Volume and 1969 Supple-
ment), title "Metropolitan Transit District," be and they are hereby
repealed in their entirety, and that Sections 2(a), 2(b), 4, 6, 8(f),
11, 13, 18(a), 23(b), 29, 45(a) and 48 of the same Article be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, all to read
as follows:

(a)    "Authority" or ''Administration" mean[s] the [Metropoli-
tan Transit Authority] Public Transit Administration established
pursuant to Article 41, Section 207D of this Code and any successor
entity;

(b)    "Board" or "Administrator" mean[s] the [board of direc-
tors of the Metropolitan Transit Authority] Public Transit Admin-
