Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
be construed or implied to affect the tenure or compensation of
the present Board of County Commissioners of Prince George's
County.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this
Act concerning the salaries of all the County Commissioners in
Prince George's County shall take effect at the time the County
Commissioners elected in the year 1970 are sworn to and assume the
duties of their several offices, provided however, that this Act shall
not take effect if charter government is ratified by the voters of
Prince George's County in the 1970 General Election.
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That subject to the provisions
of Section 3 above, this Act shall take effect on July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal AND RE-ENACT Section 7-96 of Title 7 of the
Baltimore County Code (1968 Edition, being Article 3 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore County,"
subtitle "County, Fines, Forfeitures and Imprisonment," sub-
heading "Article V. Juries," as last enacted by Chapter 48 of the
Acts of 1892, to eliminate the 10-day term of the Baltimore County
Grand Jury AND TO ALLOW THE COURT TO DETERMINE
THE TERMS OF GRAND JURIES.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 7-96 of Title 7 of the Baltimore County Code (1968
Edition, being Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Baltimore County," subtitle "County, Fines, Forfeitures
and Imprisonment," subheading "Article V. Juries," as last enacted
by Chapter 48 of the Acts of 1892, be and it is hereby repealed:
[7-96.
The limit of the session of the grand jury in the county shall be
ten days, but the court may for special reasons extend the sessions
for such additional length of time to be designated by the court, as
in the discretion of the court may be necessary.]
THE LIMIT OF THE SESSION OF THE GRAND JURY IN
THE COUNTY SHALL BE AS SET BY THE COURT, AND THE
COURT MAY FOR SPECIAL REASONS, EXTEND THE SES-
SION FOR SUCH ADDITIONAL LENGTH OF TIME AS THE
COURT SHALL DETERMINE.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
