EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT
Annapolis, Md., May 21, 1969.
Honorable Thomas Hunter Lowe
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland
Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the Maryland Consti-
tution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1241 and am returning it to you.
This Bills adds Baltimore City to the list of counties covered by the
section of Article 661/2 of the Annotated Code which provides that any
person who operates a motor vehicle on private property which is used by
the general public is subject to the same laws as if the motor vehicle were
being operated on a public highway.
Senate Bill 391, which was enacted by the General Assembly and was
signed by me on May 14, 1969, accomplishes the same thing as House Bill
1241 and is in fact broader. Consequently, it is unnecessary for me to
sign House Bill 1241.
Sincerely,
/s/ Marvin Mandel,
Governor.
