INTRODUCTION OF RESOLUTION House Resolution No. 1—By All the Members of the House of Delegates:

House Resolution congratulating the Honorable Spiro T. Agnew upon his impending inauguration as Vice President of the United States and presenting to him the desk and chair used in his executive office.

The members of the House of Delegates congratulate the Honorable Spiro T. Agnew upon his impending inauguration as Vice President of the United States. The House of Delegates of Maryland wishes him well in this great, new venture.

As a mark of the esteem and affection held for Mr. Agnew by the House of Delegates of Maryland, the House takes pleasure in presenting to him the desk and chair used in his executive office in the State House in Annapolis; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Delegates of Maryland, That this body sends hearty congratulations to the Honorable Spiro T. Agnew, following his election as Vice President of the United States and in anticipation of his assuming that high office; and be it further

Resolved, That the House of Delegates presents to Mr. Agnew the desk and chair used by him in the executive offices in the State House; and be it further

Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the House is requested to send copies of this Resolution to Vice President-elect Agnew, Presidentelect Richard M. Nixon, and to each member of the Maryland Delegation in the Congress of the United States.
