AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 225B,
225D and 225E of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County," sub-
title "Electrical Examiners," as added by Chapter 881 of the Acts
of 1963; to amend the membership requirements and manner of
compensation for the Board of Electrical Examiners of Queen
Anne's County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 225B, 225D and 225E of Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County," subtitle "Electrical Examiners," be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
225B.
The Board of County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County
shall appoint a Board and in which event the provisions of this
subtitle shall then become effective; which Board shall be known as
the Board of Electrical Examiners of Queen Anne's County, and
which shall consist of three persons, for the purpose of examining
into the qualifications and capabilities of all persons who are engaged,
or desire to engage, in the business of Master Electricians as defined
in this subtitle. The Board so appointed shall consist of [the Chief
of one of the Queen Anne's County volunteer fire companies who,
shall serve for a one-year term and two] three (3) members, two of
whom shall be competent, practical electricians of Queen Anne's
County, who shall be selected from a list of four names recommended
to the Board of County Commissioners by the Queen Anne's County
Electrical Contractors Association and who shall serve for two-
year terms [; provided, however, that one of the two initial appoint-
ments of the electricians shall be for a term of one year and
thereafter for a term of two years.] and one of whom shall be a
resident of Queen Anne's County over the age of twenty-one (21)
years, who shall serve for a one-year term. If any vacancy occurs
for any cause during the term of any Board as herein provided for,
the Board of County Commissioners shall fill the vacancy from a
list of two names recommended by said Queen Anne's County Elec-
trical Contractors Association. The Board of County Commissioners
shall have full power to remove any member of the Board for in-
competency or improper conduct by satisfactory evidence being
presented to it of such condition. [The term of office of the members
of said Board shall be for one year.]
225D.
Each member of [said] the Board shall receive a compensation
[of Ten Dollars ($10.00) per day] for actual service in attending
the meetings of the Board, as may be determined by the Board,
which compensation shall be paid out of any moneys in the hands of
the Treasurer of said Board; [provided, that the Secretary of said
