(c) In Allegany County, beginning with the term of court in
April, 1957, jurors shall receive [eight] ten dollars per day for each
and every day they shall attend a court of this State as jurors;
jurors residing outside the corporate limits of the City of Cumber-
land shall be paid mileage at the rate of [five] ten cents per mile
for each mile or fraction thereof actually traveled from day to day
[while enroute from their respective homes to the City of Cumber-
land,] going to and returning from court over the nearest prac-
ticable route.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to add new Section 88B to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Charles County (1965 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County," subtitle
"County Treasurer," to follow immediately after Section 88A
thereof, authorizing the County Commissioners of Charles County
to grant tax exemptions to certain businesses and relating gen-
erally to this exemption FROM COUNTY TAXATION.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 88B be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Charles County (1965 Edition, being Article 9 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County,"
subtitle "County Treasurer," to follow immediately after Section 88A
thereof, and to read as follows:

88B.

The County Commissioners of Charles County may exempt from
COUNTY taxation in Charles County for a period of ten (10) years
the plant and equipment of any manufacturing business or industry
established in the county after July 1, 1969.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
