CHAPTER 391
(House Bill 1016)

AN ACT to add new Section 396B to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Health,"
subtitle "Water, Ice and Sewerage," to follow immediately after
Section 396A thereof, to provide safeguards for the health, safety,
and general welfare of the public, and to maintain a healthful
environment for the citizens and visitors of Garrett County
through the establishment of minimum health requirements for
lots or parcels of ground used as the site for trailer parks, motels,
mobile motels, condominiums, apartment houses or any other fa-
cilities providing multiple bedrooms.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 396B be and it is hereby added to Article 43 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title
"Health," subtitle "Water, Ice and Sewerage," to follow immediately
after Section 396A thereof, to read as follows:

396B.

Minimum health requirements for lots and parcels of ground used
for multiple bedroom facilities in Garrett County.

Any lot or parcel of ground used as the site for a trailer park,
motel, mobile motel, condominium, apartment house or any other fa-
cility providing multiple bedrooms in Garrett County, where result-
ing sewage is disposed of underground on that property, shall pro-
vide a minimum area of 20,000 square feet of space and a minimum
width of 100 feet for each six bedroom or fraction thereof contained
in the facility.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 25(c) of
Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement
Volume), title "Juries," subtitle "Qualification and Selection of
Jurors," increasing the pay and mileage allowance for jurors in
Allegany County and expanding the coverage of the mileage allow-
ance.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 25(c) of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume), title "Juries," subtitle "Qualification
and Selection of Jurors," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
