Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 46C of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1966 Replacement Volume), title "Clerks of Courts," subtitle
"Clerk of Court of Special Appeals," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, and to read as follows:

46C.

The Director of the Administrative Office of the Courts under
the direction and supervision of the Court of Special Appeals shall
arrange for the publication of the opinions of the Court of Special
Appeals and let the necessary contracts for the same. He shall
secure the copyright of the published opinions for the State of Mary-
land and as its property. The cost of advertising for proposals
for the publication of said reports shall be paid by the Comptroller
upon the presentation of properly authenticated vouchers. Con-
tracts may be awarded upon such terms and conditions as the
Director, under the direction and supervision of the Court of Special
Appeals, shall deem necessary. Upon establishing a contract with
a publisher, the said Director shall promptly deliver to the said
publisher accurate typewritten copies of all the opinions of the Court
of Special Appeals, to be paid for from funds provided in the
judiciary budget. The publisher then shall deliver to the State
Library [three hundred] three hundred twenty-five copies of each
volume bound in a first-class manner; and the State shall pay therefor
to the publisher the contract price per volume for each of said
[three hundred] three hundred twenty-five volumes.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 367
(House Bill 874)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 340 of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Supplement),
title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and Punish-
ments," subheading "Larceny," to authorize the People's Court
of Anne Arundel County to try larceny cases when the amount
does not exceed five hundred dollars.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 340 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes
and Punishments," subheading "Larceny," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

340.

Every person convicted of the crime of larceny to the value of
one hundred dollars or upwards, or as accessory thereto before the
fact shall be deemed guilty of a felony, and shall restore the money,
