Survey, in its entire length from the District of Columbia to the
Atlantic Coast, with the exception of approximately seven miles in
Upper Pocomoke Sound in Worcester County, Maryland, and Acco-
mack County, Virginia; and

Whereas, Controversy has arisen in this area on many occasions
about the exact location of the boundary line, and recent United
States Coast and Geodetic survey charts are in conflict as to the
location; and

Whereas, The State of Virginia in Chapter 198 of the 1968 Laws
of Virginia authorized the Virginia Maritime Resources Commission
to jointly undertake the needed survey with the State of Maryland
conditioned upon the passage by the General Assembly of Maryland
of a similar act; now, therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That The Maryland Geological Survey is authorized to undertake,
with the Maritime Resources Commission of the State of Virginia,
with the assistance of the engineering staffs of such agencies, to
establish, mark and identify the seven-mile portion of the Maryland-
Virginia boundary line in Upper Pocomoke Sound in an acceptable
engineering manner.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That when the Maryland Geolog-
ical Survey and Maritime Resources Commission have agreed upon an
acceptable boundary line, they shall report the specific metes and
bounds thereof to the Governors of the two states, respectively. The
Governor of each state, upon approval by him of such boundary line,
shall cause the necessary legislation to be introduced in the next
session of the General Assembly of his State for the purpose of
establishing such line as the boundary line between the two states
in such waters.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 358
(House Bill 821)

AN ACT to add new Section 114(e) (8) to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Dorchester County (1961 Edition, being Article 10 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Dorchester
County," subtitle "Redevelopment—Urban Renewal," to follow im-
mediately after Section 114(e)(7) thereof, and to repeal and
re-enact, with amendments, Section 115 of said Code, to authorize
the acquisition of open lands to be used for urban renewal projects,
and to remove the limitation imposed on urban renewal projects in
Dorchester County.
