CHAPTER 271
(House Bill 254)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 11(a)
(9) of Article 36 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Fees of Officers," subtitle "Bailiffs and
Criers," changing the compensation for bailiffs attending the
circuit court in Frederick County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 11(a)(9) of Article 36 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Fees of Officers," sub-
title "Bailiffs and Criers," be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendment to read as follows:

Bailiffs in Frederick County shall each receive [seventy-five
dollars ($75.00)] one hundred and thirty dollars ($130.00) per
month.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 45(a)
of Article 78 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replace-
ment Volume and 1968 Supplement), title "Public Service Commis-
sion Law," subtitle "Public Service Companies," and to add new
Sections 441 to 443, inclusive, to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Cecil County (1961 Edition, being Article 8 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Cecil County," subtitle "Taxi-
cabs," to follow immediately after Section 440 thereof, revoking
the Public Service Commission's regulatory powers over taxicabs
operating in Cecil County and providing the County Commissioners
of Cecil County with regulatory powers over taxicabs in that
county and generally relating thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
