elect in writing to employ this procedure. The election shall be made
within ten (10) days of notice of appeal.

Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of laws,
public general or public local, inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act are hereby repealed to the extent of any such inconsistency.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 202
(Senate Bill 14)

AN ACT to repeal Section 1 of Article 40 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "General Assembly,"
subtitle "Mileage, Pay and Stationery," and to enact a new section
in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section so repealed,
revising the statute which provides for certain payments of mileage
allowance to members and officers of the General Assembly of
Maryland.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 1 of Article 40 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume), title "General Assembly," subtitle
"Mileage, Pay and Stationery," be and it is hereby repealed and that
a new section be and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in
the place of the section so repealed, and all to read as follows:

1.

[The mileage of members and officers of the House of Delegates
and Senate of Maryland shall be fixed and established as follows,
that is to say: The Senators and Delegates from Allegany County
shall each receive the sum of eighty dollars; those from Anne Arundel
County, except from Annapolis, the sum of fifteen dollars; those
from Baltimore City, the sum of fifteen dollars; those from Baltimore
County, the sum of nineteen dollars; those from Calvert County,
the sum of fifty dollars; those from Caroline County, the sum of
seventy-four dollars; those from Carroll County, the sum of thirty
dollars; those from Cecil County, the sum of thirty-six dollars; those
from Charles County, the sum of forty-eight dollars; those from
Dorchester County, the sum of ninety dollars; those from Frederick
County, the sum of thirty-three dollars; those from Garrett County,
the sum of one hundred and ten dollars; those from Harford County,
the sum of twenty-seven dollars; those from Howard County, the
sum of eighteen dollars; those from Kent County, the sum of sixty-
four dollars; those from Montgomery County, the sum of twenty-six
dollars; those from Prince George's County, the sum of twenty-five
dollars; those from Queen Anne's County, the sum of sixty-eight
dollars; those from St. Mary's County, the sum of seventy-one dollars;
those from Somerset County, the sum of ninety-two dollars; those
from Talbot County, the sum of eighty-six dollars; those from
Washington County, the sum of forty-nine dollars; those from
