(Senate Bill 236)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 5 (t) of
Article 62B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Maryland Port Authority," amending the
laws concerning the Maryland Port Authority in order to require
the approval of the Board of Public Works prior to any application
by the Authority for the establishment, operation and maintenance
of a foreign trade zone and relating generally to such application
and approval.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 5 (t) of Article 62B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume), title "Maryland Port Authority," be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

(t) To make application for establishing, maintaining and operat-
ing foreign trade zones within its territorial jurisdiction and to
operate and maintain such foreign trade zones when established
pursuant to the provisions of any laws or regulations of the United
States for the establishment, operation and maintenance of foreign
trade zones in ports of entry of the United States. The Authority may
not make application for the establishment, operation, and mainte-
nance of a foreign trade zone unless it has the specific approval of
the Board of Public Works; and before granting its THE approval
OF the Board of Public Works shall consult with and seek the advice
of BE BASED ON INFORMATION AND ADVICE RECEIVED
FROM the Board of Natural Resources, the Department of Chesa-
peake Bay Affairs, THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVEL-
OPMENT and other interested agencies of the State, AND THE
COUNTY GOVERNMENTS OF ALL COUNTIES INVOLVED as to
the potential effects of the foreign trade zone on the water resources,
fisheries, and economic life of this State; and
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 150
(House Bill 45)
AN ACT to add new Section 24A to Article 96A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Water Re-
sources," subtitle "Pollution Abatement," to follow immediately
after Section 24 thereof, to provide that the Departments of
Chesapeake Bay Affairs or Water Resources GAME AND IN-
LAND FISH shall investigate damage to aquatic resources,
AND that their findings be reported to the Department of Water
