County," subtitle "County Commissioners," to follow immediately
after Section 119 thereof, and to read as follows:

119A.

The County Commissioners shall provide the necessary office space
and clerical help in order to establish a full-time office of the State
Department of Employment Securities. This office shall be located in
Prince Frederick.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 148
(Senate Bill 798)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 1 of
Chapter 34 of the Laws of Maryland (1965 Edition), to remove
the limitation as to the amount of money that may be borrowed
within a period of twelve consecutive months by the County Com-
missioners of Calvert County for the construction of schools.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 1 of Chapter 34 of the Laws of Maryland (1965 Edi-
tion), be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

1.

The County Commissioners of Calvert County be and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to borrow at one time, or from
time to time, on the faith and credit of said County, a sum or sums
not exceeding in the aggregate Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000),
and to issue and sell bonds therefor, the proceeds thereof to be used
for the construction, alteration, remodeling and equipping of schools
and school facilities in Calvert County, and for the acquisition of
sites therefor, and to pay all expenses, including advertising, print-
ing, and legal fees, incurred in the issuance and sale of any bonds
hereunder, the said amount so borrowed to be used for no other pur-
pose whatsoever. [Of the total authorization of Three Million Dollars
($3,000,000), not more than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) thereof
shall be borrowed within any period of twelve consecutive months.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby de-
clared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety and having been passed
by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.
