The County Commissioners of Harford County are authorized to
make such contributions or gifts of money, other personal property,
or real property as the Commissioners may approve for the use of the
Northern Maryland Society for the Aid of Retarded Children, Inc.
or any similar charitable corporation organized for the care and
treatment of retarded children. The contributions or gifts shall be
made subject to any terms and conditions which the County Commis-
sioners may deem appropriate.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 83-57 (a)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963
Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), and Section 71-4 (a) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Montgomery County (1965 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's County
and Montgomery County," subtitle "Washington Suburban Sani-
tary District," as last amended by Chapter 628 of the Acts of
1968, eliminating all reference to political parties in determining
the members of the Prince George's County delegation to the
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 83-57 (a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1963 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), and Section 71-4 (a) of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1965 Edition, being
Article 16 of the. Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Prince George's County and Montgomery County," subtitle "Wash-
ington Suburban Sanitary District," as last amended by Chapter 628
of the Acts of 1968, be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
83-57. (71-4).
(a) For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this sub-
title, said Sanitary District shall be under the jurisdiction of a com-
mission of six members known as the Washington Suburban Sani-
tary Commission, which in this subtitle may be referred to as "the
Commission" or "commission." Three of the members of the Com-
mission shall be from Prince George's County, appointed by the
Board of County Commissioners for Prince George's County, and
three from Montgomery County, appointed by the County Council
of Montgomery County with the respective appointments to be made
as hereinafter provided. Each term of office is four years, which
