(Senate Bill 724)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-3 (a)
(14) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Sup-
plement), title "Election Code," subtitle "Election Boards and
Employees," increasing the salary of the Howard County Board
of Election Supervisors.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-3 (a) (14) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1968 Supplement), title "Election Code," subtitle "Elec-
tion Boards and Employees," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

2-3.

(a) (14) Howard County: Chairman, [$900.] $1,200.00; associate
members, [$800] $1,000.00 each.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this Act
shall not be construed to extend or apply to the Board of Election
Supervisors of Howard County in office on the effective date of this
Act, but the provisions of this Act shall take effect with the next
term of office.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

(Senate Bill 748)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 216A of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition,
being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Harford County," subtitle "County Commissioners," as this
section was enacted by Chapter 106 of the Acts of 1968, authoriz-
ing the County Commissioners of Harford County to make con-
tributions of real or personal property to certain organizations
formed for the purpose of caring for and treating retarded children.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 216A of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "County Com-
missioners," as this section was enacted by Chapter 106 of the Acts
of 1968, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
