ing the number of the organization and the number of the local
voiture (reading 40-8-local number).

(6)  Any vehicle owned or operated by [N] nonresident students
enrolled in an accredited Maryland school, college or university, or
serving an internship,
who are not employed or engaged in any trade
or profession,
provided the state of which he is a resident shall ex-
tend the same privileges to residents of this State and provided that
he meets the Maryland requirements for motor vehicle financial
responsibility.

(7)  Any vehicle owned and used by any chapter in Maryland of the
American Red Cross, and by any bona fide unit of a national veterans'
organization.

(8)  Any trailer or semitrailer, when operated in intrastate serv-
ices, may be duly registered in another state, provided the truck-
tractor or towing vehicle is properly registered in this State and the
registered owner of said truck-tractor or towing vehicle has a trailer
or semitrailer registered in this State for each truck-tractor also
registered in this State.

(9)  Any trailer or semitrailer having a chassis weight not in
excess of one thousand (1000) pounds which is duly registered in
another state, may be rented or leased for intrastate operation, if
the owner of said trailer or semitrailer has registered annually in
this State a number of trailers or semitrailers equal to or in excess
of the average number of trailers or semitrailers said owner will have
available annually in this State for intrastate operations. The De-
partment shall require every such owner to file annually at such
time and in such manner as shall be prescribed by the Department
a statement under affidavit of total annual registration in all states,
total annual registration in this State, and the average total number
of trailers available for rent or lease annually in this State; provided
this section shall apply only to trailers or semitrailers pulled by
Class "A" vehicles.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 132
(Senate Bill 522)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 128 (b)
of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Courts," subtitle "Municipal Court of Balti-
more City," in order to increase certain court costs in the traffic
division of the Municipal Court of Baltimore City.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 128 (b) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1966 Replacement Volume), title "Courts," subtitle "Municipal
Court of Baltimore City," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
