32-1. Additional judges for the seventh judicial circuit.

In addition to the seven judges for the seventh judicial circuit for
which provision is made by Section 21 of Article 4 of the Constitu-
tion of Maryland, there shall be, in addition to the 2 additional judges
already provided for under this section, three additional judges who
shall be residents of Prince George's County. Said judges shall be
selected in the manner provided by Section 5 of Article 4 of the Con-
stitution of Maryland and shall be subject to all the provisions of
the Constitution and laws relating to the seventh judicial circuit
and the several judges thereof.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 84
(House Bill 353)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 178(3)
of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Insurance Code," subtitle "11. Agents and
Brokers," and to add new Section 178(4) to said Article, title and
subtitle of said Code, to follow immediately after Section 178(3)
thereof, establishing minimum educational requirements to qualify
for the examination for life and/or health agent and requiring
additional education for renewal of such licenses.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 178(3) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Insurance Code," subtitle
"11. Agents and Brokers," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, and that new Section 178(4) be and it is
hereby added to said Article, title, and subtitle, to follow immediately
after Section 178(3) thereof, and to read as follows:

178.

(3) The Commissioner shall establish reasonable rules and regu-
lations with respect to the scope, type, conduct and grading of such
written examinations and the times and places within this State
where they shall be held; provided, that applicants shall be per-
mitted to take such examinations at least once in each week at the
principal office of the Commissioner, and provided further that such
examinations shall be offered at least once in each month at a loca-
tion on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and once each month at a
location on the Western Shore of Maryland (other than Baltimore
City), such locations to be selected by the Commissioner; and all
examinations must be graded within thirty days following the date
of the examination. As a prerequisite to examination the Commis-
sioner shall require not less than 60 hours of study and instruction
in courses approved by him
AND A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLE-
TION SHALL BE FORWARDED WITH THE APPLICATION
FOR EXAMINATION TO THE COMMISSIONER.
